Practical SEO and website development

About Us: David Walsh and SEO Agency in Nottingham

We help service businesses understand what is limiting their search visibility, decide what matters first and implement the agreed improvements. For the full list, see our SEO services in Nottingham.

This is a new agency brand built around practical experience gained from creating, improving and operating websites—not an agency assembled around reports that somebody else must act on.

The person responsible for the work

David Walsh, founder

I am David Walsh, trading as SEO Agency Nottingham. I provide the SEO and website-development services described on this site and am responsible for the advice, agreed implementation and published guidance.

My practical experience comes from building, improving and maintaining websites: planning service pages, correcting technical problems, implementing content, and checking forms and search data. Clothing Alterations Nottingham is a website I built and continue to develop. The case studies and sample audit report show examples of the work, with dates, evidence and limitations.

The agency is a new brand. Research and software support the work; published guidance and project recommendations are reviewed before use.

Why the agency exists

SEO advice often stops just before the difficult part

A business receives an audit, a spreadsheet or a presentation. The recommendations may be sensible, but they depend on a developer, writer or internal team that was never included in the project.

SEO Agency in Nottingham was created to close that gap. We combine search strategy with technical and on-page implementation, website repair and development. The scope is agreed before changes are made, and the work can be completed directly or alongside an existing developer.

The question we begin with

What is preventing this website from being understood, found or chosen—and which available change is most likely to improve the commercial outcome?

How we approach the work

Evidence before activity

We do not start by filling a monthly checklist. We start with the business, the live search results and the condition of the website.

01

Understand the business

Services, locations, customers, commercial priorities and the action a useful visitor should take.

02

Find the constraint

Search intent, indexing, site structure, content, local visibility, speed or conversion—not every issue deserves equal attention.

03

Implement carefully

We agree access and scope, protect the existing site and apply the approved changes.

Experience, honestly explained

A new agency brand with practical website experience

We will not manufacture a long agency history or borrow client results.

Websites we operate ourselves

We operate and maintain several websites across local services, specialist retail and international freight. That work involves site architecture, content, local search, technical fixes, speed, forms, tracking and the everyday decisions required to keep websites useful.

Work visible in Nottingham

Clothing Alterations Nottingham is one example of a local website we build and optimise. It shows the kind of service architecture, location relevance and practical implementation that informs our agency work. Further examples can be discussed where appropriate.

What we work on

Search visibility and the website behind it

SEO is not separate from the website customers use. A technically sound page that confuses visitors is not enough; neither is attractive design that search engines cannot crawl or understand.

Not WordPress-only

WordPress is one platform we can support, particularly for hands-on technical work and website development. It is not the whole business. The appropriate recommendation depends on the existing platform, the website’s requirements and the work involved.

Who we are built to support

Local and service-led businesses

Our clearest fit is a business that relies on being found for a service and needs its website to convert that visibility into calls, enquiries or bookings.

A

Businesses losing visibility

Rankings or enquiries have fallen, a redesign caused damage, pages are missing from Google or nobody has established what changed.

B

Businesses ready to grow

The foundation is stable, but local targeting, service pages, content or measurement need to become more deliberate.

C

Businesses needing a better site

A new build, rebuild or repair needs search structure, performance, accessibility and conversion considered together.

How a project moves

Clear stages, not a mysterious process

STEP 1

Listen

Understand the business, locations and problem.

STEP 2

Investigate

Review the website, search results and available data.

STEP 3

Prioritise

Explain what matters now, later or not at all.

STEP 4

Implement

Make the agreed changes and check the outcome.

Each stage, and who is responsible for what, is set out in detail on How We Work.

What we will not promise

We do not guarantee first-page rankings, Local Pack positions, Google Business Profile approval, a fixed recovery date, lead volumes or a perfect PageSpeed score. Search engines control their results, and every website begins from a different position. We promise a clear scope, evidence-led recommendations, honest limitations and practical work that can be verified.

Choosing the right support

Advice alone or implementation as well?

Advice can suit a business with its own developer or team. Implementation includes making the agreed changes as well as explaining them; the proposal should say who is responsible for each task and how the result will be checked.

One-off work or ongoing support?

A defined problem may suit a one-off investigation or project. Ongoing support may be appropriate when several priorities need attention over time. Neither route guarantees a search position; compare the scope and commitment on our pricing page.

What to ask before choosing an SEO provider

Ask what is included, who will make the changes, what access is needed, how work will be checked and what remains yours. Request a written scope and ask for examples with their limitations. Our working process explains how we approach those decisions.

Start with the evidence

Tell us what is happening with your website

We will look at the initial signals and suggest the most sensible next step—even when that is a smaller one-off correction.

We review enquiries Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm. See our case studies or annotated sample SEO report.
